Makes 6 servings
1 1/2 cup grits
2 chicken bouillon cube
6 cup water
Put water in pan with bouillion, bring to boiling, slowly add grits, stirring frequently to keep from lumps. Reduce. Heat to medium–low and cook 5-7 mins or till thick. Remove from heat. Serve with eggs and toast or alone. Any left overs pour in a square dish and set aside to cool..let air dry an hour.When it’s cold, refrigerate till ready to use. Use the leftovers for fried mush.
Cheese Grits:
Makes 4 servings
2 cups water
1/2 cup grits
4 oz. cubed cheese
Pinch garlic
1/4 -1/2 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
Place grits in boiling water. Slowly stir in grits. Stirring frequently. Reduce heat to med- low. Cook 4-5mins. Remove from heat add cheese and seasonings return to heat cook 2-3 mins till cheese has completely melted. Enjoy!
