Peach Time

Good afternoon everybody, how y’all doing this beautiful afternoon? I had a very busy morning. My son brought me some peaches he picked from his peach tree. Oh, my! they are so delicious and so juicy. You really need to have a lot of napkins near by when eating one of these beauties. Took some to my neighbors. With what’s left, I’m going to make some peach jam. Freeze some of them. They will really taste delicious when the snow starts flying. The peach jam on hot biscuits, yum. Crispy Rice Cookies is on the menu tonight. The recipe will be posted later. For snacks, chips and Queso Dip. On Wednesdays my husband and I have date night. We eat a steak dinner for this special occasion. No matter how many years you’ve been married, for many years or newlyweds, you need to set aside one day or night a week, for you and your spouse. To me this is very important. It’s the little things that mean a lot. You might say, we can’t afford to have date night, it doesn’t have to be expensive. Think of something you both enjoy but haven’t done for awhile. For example, going out for a burger, or packing up a lunch and going to a park or lake, cook a special meal for the two of you, instead of eating in front of the TV, how about a candle light dinner. Turn off the TV and the cell phones. It’s about spending quality time together. Going to get in the kitchen now and get those cookies made. Come on over.. Let’s cook. Sending Love your way…Jeri
