Package of gizzards
1 teaspoon baking soda
Water
Salt
Flour
Oil
Rinse gizzards thoroughly, cut the gizzards in half removing the grissle that connects the gizzards. In a bowl place gizzards add enough water to cover the gizzards. Add 1 teaspoon baking soda. Mix well. Let gizzards soak 1 hour. Drain and rinse thoroughly. Place vegetable oil in skillet enough to fry the gizzards. Place flour in zip lock bag, add gizzards a few at a time. Close the bag and shake. Remove gizzards shake off excess flour. Carefully put gizzards in hot oil, try not to over crowd and fry small amounts, cook gizzards till gizzards are done and golden brown..drain on paper towels. Salt to taste when you remove them from the oil.
